Pierre Levicky was born in Rives, France on September 9th1959.
As a young man, Pierre was immersed in a world of paints and brushes under the guidance of his father, a praised and recognized artist.
Being “forced” to produce a work of art to exhibition standard each year from the age of 10, Pierre developed skills and a real passion for colors.
Contrary to his father Andre Levicky who excelled in painting Still life, landscapes and portraits,
Pierre enjoyed the freedom of mind that paints and other medium could bring to his personal happiness and under the skilled eyes of his father showed
a instinctive use for colors and different medium, including oil, water color, pencils but it is acrylic paints that he enjoyed most.
Although having dedicated his time to building his business empire with various shades of success, Pierre always took the time to enjoy the visits to exhibitions from the like of Dali, Klimt or Monet. He also painted but it is only in the early 2000 that Pierre found the time again to concentrate on his art. Now sharing his life between the south of Spain and Scotland Pierre enjoys the strong effects of light and contrasts of colors. This is when he reconciled with an old art form that he had enjoyed in his early twenties : The body imprint, the use of bodies to adorn large supports like wallpaper, wood panels or canvas. A passion was born.
Since 2007, Pierre has been busy creating some magnificient body imprints all over Europe, whilst when in Edinburgh he has also been concentrating on big art ranging from a couple of square meters to over twenty square meters.
